Easthope Family Winegrowers Syrah Rose
Here at 495, we really love Easthope Family wines. The wines they make all have real character and personality. Every task — from pruning and picking to pressing and bottling — is done by hand. They call this approach Ergodynamic, a style defined not by ambition, but by the physical capacity of a family to grow and make wine themselves. It’s deliberate, intimate work that results in wines of precision, texture, and quiet power. This ‘home block’ rose is made from 100% Syrah. It was made intention – This isn’t a by-product of red winemaking or a reaction to an average vintage (as so many Rosés on the shelf are). This one was made because they wanted to make a delicous rose.
This Syrah Rosé is built to grab attention: colour that hints at fruit and earth; fragrance that lifts with floral, fruit and mineral notes; and a dry, long texture that’s as confident as it is refreshing.
Hand-picked fruit, a slow and indulgently long press cycle, and fermentation shaped by cool autumn temperatures. Then eight months on spent yeast lees to build presence, depth and texture. The result? A Rosé with enough substance to sit comfortably—and proudly—among its Easthope stablemates.
