Vasse Felix Cabernet Sauvignon
Vasse Felix is one of the first wineries in Western Australia’s Margaret River. Established in 1967 by a doctor from Perth it was named after a sailor who was lost at sea from one of the boats that first discovered the southwest coast of Australia. The Peregrine Falcon features on the label. This was because falcons were introduced to the vineyard after the first vintage was destroyed by native birds. The falcons did not stay around the vineyard and unfortunately flew into the neighbouring forest to live. This wine is 90% Cabernet Sauvignon with Malbec and Petit Verdot. It is their premier Cabernet Sauvignon and is loaded with an aromatic punch. On the palate, it is rich and concentrated with firm tannins.
