No dancing shoes required; just an ethusiastic thirst for palate quenching, and oh-so elegant wines. The wines of Austria and Germany famously include brilliantly bright, refreshing Gruner Veltliners and Rieslings for a reason. (Our mouths are already watering.) But there’s more to the wines of these two countries than you might first assume. Sumptuous sparkling wines? Yes! Voluptuous and weighty whites? Certainly! Spicy, aromatic and refined reds? Oh, yes indeed. Exquisitely succulent sweet wines? Ja!

Our host Sonja may be a bit biased, as she has lived in and worked the wine harvest in Austria and has been partaking of the vinous delights of both these German-speaking countries for many years. But who better to take you and your tastebuds on a tour that might just leave you saying “wunderbar?”

And if you do feel like a little waltz around the Back Room, we won’t stop you!
