Te Kano Blanc de Noir
This fresh, mineral wine is made entirely from Pinot Noir. Blanc de Noir translates as white from black. The colouration of wines, is achieved during maceration (skin contact during fermentation). Here the dark grape skin will, depending on the length of time, releases pigments into the juice so the colouring of the skins releases into the white grape juice to eventually turn it pink.
Hand picked fruit and minimal skin contact ensures the brilliantly pale and clear wine with an intense aromas of nectarine, pears and spice. The palate shows tropical fruits alongside fresh stonefruit and that minerality we adore from this style of wine.
