Shield Wines Rose of Meunier

Oh, what a lovely wine this is. Pinot Meunier--or just "Meunier," as the wine world is calling it now--is the star performer here and seems to be absolutely the perfect choice to make an expressive, aromatic and also crisp, refreshing drop. Really well-made and really delicious.

Nelson consistently gives us drops to rave about, yet it’s often an overlooked region for wines. But you know better. Made from 100% Pinot Meunier (a grape often used to make Champagne), this is a very rare, single-vineyard rosé that really rises to the top of the pink pile. No surprise, as Kiwi winemaker Trudy Shield really knows what she’s doing, having spent years making wine all over the world. Good to have her back on home soil making gorgeous wines like this.
