Rock Ferry Brut Rose
The name Rock Ferry actually comes from the area around Christchurch however this wine is from Marlborough. Rock Ferry Wines are known for their organic and biodynamic farming and in this case, pushing the boundaries of New Zealand sparkling wine. This 8 year old Brut Rosé made with Pinot Noir grapes sits in a growing movement of serious méthode traditionnelle wines from the region, meaning that they are striving to make quality wines to emulate the wines of Champagne. Perfect growing conditions where high sunshine hours meet cool nights is ideal for retaining acidity and freshness. However the ageing in bottle has meant the wine has developed a roundness and creaminess making it a serious food bubbles. A great match for fresh Hawke’s Bay crayfish.
