We’re talking about the region of Drama in northern Greece. Drama, as well as its neighbouring regions of Macedonia, Thessaly and Thrace are where the grapes for this innovative and quite tasty pan-regional wine come from.

Established in 2015 by winemaker Nikos Karatzas, Oenops is an exciting project that has found its home in the historic wine region of Drama, Macedonia in the north of Greece. Drawing from his experience in Bordeaux and as head winemaker at Ktima Pavlidis, Nikos champions a philosophy of minimal intervention in the winery. Oenops’ primary goal is to highlight Greece’s distinct terroirs, cool climates, old vines and indigenous grape varieties. 

This red blend is a greater sum of its carefully chosen individual parts. Fruity and aromatic on the nose and palate, but with just the right amount of freshness and grip.
