Leheny Gibson Chardonnay

You already know and love Lorraine Leheny and Warren Gibson from such labels as Bilancia and Trinity Hill. But did you know that this dynamic wine duo also makes an Australian Chardy? As if two award-winning wine brands weren't enough for them...If you haven't had this elegant drop of sunshine (think sunny, but crisp, fresh Autumn skies), then get a move on and grab a bottle. But if you're sharing, make sure it's with someone you really like.

Lorraine and Warren first met at winemaking school in Oz (Lorraine’s roots are in Victoria), and if you know their other work in Hawke’s Bay, you’ll know that they both share a passion for Chardonnay. So it’s really not surprising that they would also make a stunning Chardy from the cool-climes of the Upper Yarra. This wine is a collaborative effort between Lorraine, Warren and friends back across the ditch who grow Chardonnay fruit worthy of their attention and effort. Keep this in the cellar for 10 years if you can be bothered, or drink it tonight with a pan seared flounder with seaweed-butter sauce and capers. Too fancy? She’ll be ‘right with Sunday fish n’ chips on the beach (with a good squeeze of lemon)!
