Le Paradou Grenache
The Chaudiere brothers, Alexandre and Frederic, come from a family that make great wine at Chateau Pesquie in the Ventoux area. Paradou means paradise in the old language as it is a magical place to live. Grenache is the workhorse variety of Southern France and makes up the majority of the plantings in some very famous appellations down there. In this wine the brothers are looking to show an aromatic and refreshing style of Grenache rather than the dark, heavy examples in the more famous appellations of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, and Vacqueyras.
A red-fruited Grenache fermented and aged in concrete to preserve its aromatic charms and crunchy fruit flavours.
