Gotas de Mar, Godello

This white wine made from the native Godello grape variety, primarily grown in the Galicia region of northwest Spain, is fresh and lively. Its name "Gotas de Mar," translates to "Drops of the Sea," and reflects the coastal influence on the vineyards and the mineral character of the wine. The Godello grape is known for its ability to balance freshness and complexity, and Gotas de Mar is a great example of this.

The Ribeiro wine region is one of the oldest producing regions in the world with its history going back 2000 years. The vineyards are often located in terraced slopes by the Miño River, providing good sun exposure while benefiting from the cooling effects of the water.

Brilliant pale lemon colour. Aromas of yellow stone fruits, stony minerals and a hint of fresh sea breeze. On the palate, tropical fruits and stony minerals balanced with a mouthwatering acidity. This has some of the salty, minerlaity of Albarino and good mouthfeel you might get from a Chardonnay. So very good with fresh firm white fish, try it along side a ceviche dish.
