Famille Bougrier Vouvray Chenin Blanc

The Vouvray town and region is is dedicated almost exclusively to the Chenin Blanc grape known locally as Pineau de la Loire. There is a touch of residual sugar or sweetness to the wine that is required to balance the natural acidity of Chenin Blanc grown in Vouvray. This wine has ripe, fruity flavours of apple, white peach and apricots.

Since 1885, six generations have shaped the history of the Bougrier family with two current generations working together at this time on vineyards that produce wines spanning the entirety of the Loire Valley. This is an amazing wine region and we would recommend exploring it on a boat cruising down the Loire River, stopping in the villages that can be found on its banks. It is a remarkable place! This is truely the Valley of the Kings.

These wines last for a long time in the cellar, but we would suggest you drink it now with a pork tenderloin and apple sauce!
