Dr Loosen Kinheimer Rosenberg GG Riesling
Riesling is a winemaker’s favourite, making white wines that are legendary worldwide.
The Loosen family has been growing Riesling and producing wine in the Mosel valley for over 200 years.
Ernst “Erni” Loosen, assumed ownership of his family’s estate in 1988 and embarked on a quest to greatly improve the quality and international reputation of the estate, the Mosel region, and Riesling in general.
Grosses Gewächs (GG) is the German equivalent to “Great Growth”. The GG wines represent the great potential of dry Mosel Rieslings from Grosse Lage (Grand Cru) vineyards.
The Kinheimer Rosenberg vineyard, where this wine is from, is a fantastic example of this.
The steep slopes, slate soils and superstar winemaking give this wine some serious clout.
