Donna Laura, Ali, Rosato Rose

This “Rosato” is made solely from the Sangiovese grape variety grown in the Chianti area of Tuscany. It's light in colour, crisp, dry and refreshing with the palette showing notes of strawberry, red cherry, and pink grapefruit.

Canadian owner, Lia Tolaini- Banville named the label, Donna Laura, after her aunt while the wine’s name of Ali, (which means wings in Italian), is the name of her daughter – her little angel. The label also has a classical image of Cupid. Lia’s wines and labels celebrate the legacy of devotion to family and affirm the saying that “no matter where you go or turn you will always end up at home.”

The grapes are all hand-selected in the fields. After gentle pressing, the wine spends two hours macerating with the skins to add just a slight hint of pink to the colou. It is then put into stainless steel tanks where it ages for three months on the fine lees. The palate is light, fresh and has a pleasant and longlasting finish.
