Petite Ronde Picpoul de Pinet

Picpoul de Pinet offers up crisp, refreshing, dry white wines that could be an acceptable and interesting alternative to Pinot Gris or Sauvignon Blanc for the more adventurous. It embodies summer but is perfectly drinkable in the winter as well!

Picpoul de Pinet is made exclusively from the Piquepoul variety growing in the Languedoc Rousillon region of Southern France. The appellation is one of very few in the region to be dedicated to white wine production. The reason for this is because the area is situated beside a lagoon which tempers the warm temperatures with cooling ocean breezes. The Piquepoul variety has grown in this region for centuries and has adapted to the climate. It ripens late and retains acidity. The name of the grape translates to ‘lip stinger” on account of its acidity.

A classically styled Picpoul de Pinet that ticks all the boxes: citrus and white stone fruit aromas and a really ripe and delicious palate. It’s concentrated, super succulent, tangy and mouthwatering. Serious summer white wine.  Perfect with anything from the sea.
