Cedre Heritage Malbec
While the Malbec grape has found new places to take root, Château du Cèdre have been making amazing Malbec back home in France, keeping the tradition alive. In fact, as Malbec from other parts of the world like Argentina have risen in popularity, brothers Pascal and Jean-Marc Verhaeghe are regarded as having helped bring Malbec production in their home region back from the brink.
And in this bottle, they’ve given us an absolutely classic style of French Malbec from Cahors, which is in southern France. Inky in colour, but don’t let that fool you; this is a lifted, fragrant, elegant, and way-too-drinkable red. We’re sorry, not sorry, because you’re going to want another bottle…or three.
