Calrossie “Grand Reserve” Pinot Noir
This is a bit of a special treat a Pinot Noir from what many consider one of New Zealand’s great vineyard sites! If you remember the old-school Pyramid Valley wines, you might remember that they made a Pinot from this very special vineyard. Planted in 2003 (that’s “old vine” for NZ standards), the Calrossie vineyard is on a hillside site in Marlborough’s lower Awatere Valley. This Pinot has aged just beautifully and will continue to for a few more years, if you end up wanting to stash some away! And if you’ve never had a chance to see what a bit of age can do for a Pinot Noir, this is the right way to discover the magic of maturing. We recommend having more than one bottle at the ready.
