Bilancia Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay

Warren & Lorraine Gibson share a wealth of winemaking experience between them and this expertise shows, as Bilancia has been producing award winning wines since 1997. We at 495 have a very soft spot for all of their finely crafted wines.

The fruit is all hand-picked from unique vineyards throughout Hawke’s Bay, keeping each clone as separate as possible for handling in the winery. Fermented dry with indigenous yeasts. 

The aim is to produce a wine that reflects the variety and the vineyard rather than the winemaking. The result is a nicely wound, tight but not too tight, wine with an emphasis on a fresh, food-friendly style and evenly balanced palate. Ripe stonefruit on the nose and palate with great texture and character.
