This medium-bodied blend of 70% Sangiovese 30% Sagrantino offers flavors of cherry, raspberry and subtle earthy notes. Supported by soft tannins that are dry to the palate and lifted by refreshing acidity that Sangiovese gives it an excellent drinkability.

Founded in 1881, Antonelli di San Marco is a prestigious winery located in Montefalco, Umbria, Italy. Celebrated for its exquisite wines, particularly Sagrantino di Montefalco. The word Sagrantino derives from the Latin “Sacer”, a holy wine destined for consumption during Christmas festivals. The first written documents that mention Sagrantino in Montefalco date back to the 16th century. Brining us up todate the region received the designation of DOC in 1979 and the DOCG in 1992 to acknowledge the tradition and the quality of wines from this area.

This is defintely a raviloi / tagliatelle with robust ragu sauce, support sort of wine.
