Y. Amirault “Cote 50” Bourgueil

We love wines made from Cabernet Franc and this region and producer is known for making 100% varietal wines. We love the fragrance and the freshness of this variety which are never too heavy when grown in the right places and made with a light hand.

The Cabernet Franc vineyards of the Bourgueil appellation are found on the northern side of the Loire River in the west of the Touraine district. The gentle weather, sand, gravel and limestone soils are perfect for the production of this variety. Yannick Amirault is a 4th Generation premium producer of the region. For him the “vineyard is an inheritance where nothing is ever acquired, each generation has a knowledge and a duty of transmission.” The Cote 50 is his entry-level wine. It is vibrant and easy to drink.
