Cave de Lugny Macon Villages

This wine is an archetypal Chardonnay from the Mâcon Villages in the south of Burgundy that uses different terroirs to combine minerality, delicacy and fruit expression. Not a large wine but perfect for the warmer spring days. Enjoy at lunch.

The Cave de Lugny is a co-operative and the largest producer in the area producing nearly 50% of the region’s wine. With roots dating back to the 1800’s the cooperative is very proud of its significant role within the region. Championing the Chardonnay variety is very important. But this is Chardonnay which is significantly different to what we offer here in New Zealand. It is refined and elegant and not driven by fruit characters.
